How we chose

We started from the pubs, hotels and restaurants in and around Ashford that publish a Christmas Day 2026 menu on their own website, and kept those with a food hygiene rating of 4 or 5 from the FSA, or a new registration awaiting its first inspection. Prices, deposits and opening times are taken from each venue’s own Christmas page or menu PDF, read on 2 November 2026. Two Rocksalt pubs show different prices on their web page and in their 2026 festive pack, and we have given both. Christmas Day bookings sell out, and menus can change, so confirm the price and the deposit terms when you book. We left out places whose Christmas pages still showed earlier years’ menus, as well as pubs that do not say whether they open on 25 December. Run a place that should be here, or spot something that has changed? Email newsdesk@ashfordtimes.co.uk. Taken a good photograph of any of these places? Email it to newsdesk@ashfordtimes.co.uk and we will add it with your name as the credit.
