Ashford Rugby Club’s fireworks display is on Saturday 7 November 2026. Gates open at 5pm and the display starts at 7pm, at the club’s ground at Kinneys Fields, Kinneys Lane, Ashford TN24 9QB. Advance tickets are £8 for adults, £4 for under-16s and £20 for a family of two adults and two children; children under 5 go free. There is no parking at the ground.

Updated 29 October: the club’s box office and ticket shop, rechecked today, still show the same times and prices, and tickets are still on sale. We have added the nearest big alternative: Leeds Castle’s Saturday display has sold out, but its Sunday 8 November display still has tickets.

Ashford Rugby Club: Saturday 7 November

The club’s own box office at ashfordrugbyclubboxoffice.co.uk is now headed “Ashford Rugby Club Fireworks Display 7th November 2026” and lists a “Huge Fireworks Display” starting at 7pm, gates at 5pm, with real ales, food stalls and outdoor bars. Tickets are sold through the club’s Yapsody shop, which has the event on sale for Saturday 7 November at 7pm.

Buying online saves 20%, as the club puts it. Two small differences from last year are worth noticing: the free age has gone up from under 3 to under 5, and the display is on the Saturday after bonfire night rather than the Saturday before (it ran on 1 November in 2025). Bonfire night itself, 5 November, falls on a Thursday this year.

The parking is the part to plan. The club says plainly there is no onsite parking. Its parking page sends drivers to the Julie Rose Stadium, TN24 9QX, asks you to “allow plenty of time to walk to the display”, and warns that the Bybrook Barn car park is not available and will be locked at 5:30pm, so do not leave a car there. See also our parking in Ashford page. The free-after-3pm arrangement at Elwick Place ends on 1 November, six days before the display, which matters if you plan to eat in town first.

The same weekend: Sunday 8 November is Remembrance Sunday, and the Kent and East Sussex Railway’s steam gala at Tenterden runs on both the 7th and the 8th.

Fireworks near Ashford: Leeds Castle, 7 and 8 November

If the rugby club is not for you, the biggest display within easy reach is Leeds Castle, off junction 8 of the M20 between Ashford and Maidstone. It runs on the same weekend, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026, and the castle’s own event page says Saturday is sold out. Sunday still had tickets when we checked on 29 October.

  • Prices: adults (16 and over) £29, children 3 to 15 £20, under-3s free but need a ticket (Leeds Castle booking page).
  • Times: the grounds open to fireworks ticket holders from 2pm, there is a falconry display at 3pm, and the main display starts at 5.30pm, set to music on this year’s theme of songs about time, with projections and lasers on the castle.
  • Street food, the fairground and adventure golf cost extra.

It is dearer than the rugby club (a family of four pays £98 at Leeds Castle against £20 in advance at Kinneys Fields), and it is a drive rather than a walk, but the display starts earlier, which suits younger children.

Woodchurch: no low-bang display in the 2026 calendar

The South of England Rare Breeds Centre at Woodchurch ran its first Low Bang Fireworks Night on 1 November 2025: a kids’ disco from 5pm and a 20-minute low-noise display at 6:30pm, billed as fully accessible (canterburyoasttrust.org.uk).

Its current What’s On calendar, checked again on 7 October, lists Farmyard Frights and Trick or Treat Delights (24 October to 1 November), a Christmas Gift Market on 14 and 15 November and A Truly Magical Christmas (28 November to 23 December), and no fireworks night. That is not proof it has been dropped, but a repeat is not scheduled.

The village displays that went

KentOnline reported on 1 October 2024 that the Farriers Arms at Mersham cancelled its display, its publicans citing “immensely rising costs, and a turbulent financial year”, and that Hamstreet Fireworks was also off, with organisers then “working on a plan to ensure its return in 2025” (kentonline.co.uk). Neither has published a 2026 date.
